Wind starts blowing,
Rain starts falling,
Overcoming the drought
That command life out of us.

Days of waiting,
Stylishly crept away,
Light sprung up,
Illuminating our gloomy soul.

Men are waiting,
Eagerly watching
Speculations says it's over,
But we saw an hand of hope.

Like the history of Israel,
"I saw a cloud of rain like hand" he said
After 3½ years of drought,
Yes! It's happening again, hope is rising

Hope is rising,
Men are happy,
Weeping may tarries till night,
Surely joy comes in the morning.

My dear citadel of learning,
Being stuck down by a thunder of inactivity,
With no man to trod upon its land,
Is feeling men are coming around.

Hope is rising,
I'm glad, it's rising.
Thank God, we aren't stuck forever,
Thank God, a glimpse of hope is rising.

Recently, I dropped a question on my wall and I do appreciate the answers I got as comments.

And now I will write on my thoughts on the question. This question is this "what do you do when your expectations are cut short?"

Overtime, we have list of expectations unfulfilled, we have desires unaccomplished and dreams that seems as ordinary nightmare. Though before these things become reality, they will go through a lot of process that kept us waiting and now the question is what do we do when the process failed along the line?

The simple truth according to my thoughts is that keep trying, yes!, Keep trying. But one thing is - according to how I replied a comment on the post, are we not flogging the dead horse?, Are we not painting an unrealistic image?

A lot of process failed, and yet we keep trying, but surprisingly, it all ends in failure, wasted effort and the pains will be much more than failing to start pursuing in the first place.

And now this is my advice, when expectations are cut short, keep trying but be sure you are not chasing the wind.

Believe and keep trying.

My review on No excuses!

I have been hearing about self discipline, but upon reading this book I agreed I don't know the power self discipline holds and how greatly it can transform ones life even in some area you don't think of.

If someone should tell me that self discipline is related to my happiness and peace of mind, I will be wandering in darkness on how such could be. But this book open my eyes to much I can enjoy from being disciplined in these areas of life.

The possibility of learning lessons in advance is in this book, as I learnt of how self discipline could help you in marriage and childrearing (of course, I don't need that now, but the lesson is learnt in advance), and the probability of returning to the book is approximately unity.

Only if someone wants to punish me will the person say what's my favourite chapter of the book, because I found every chapter interesting and educative.

The book cover twenty one (21) power of self discipline (21 ways to achieve lasting happiness and success, as the cover page put it), including business and even upto physical fitness.

Mere reading "about the author", you will know you have "No excuse" of being mediocre, because I found a lot of motivation from his experience and his application of self discipline both in business and in family.

If am asked for rating, I will give it 5-star and recommend it for others.

The grey hairs of the village,
They regard themselves as sage.
With no shoulder pads,
Yet their shoulders is always high.

The 'profs' when it comes to knowledge,
Intoxicated by their acquired wisdom,
Always feeling high and over,
With the thoughts of being uncorrectable.

The youths and kids they trod upon,
"What did they know?" is always their song.
Always on the lookout for disciples to teach,
And not master to learn from.

Unluckily, it's not for them,
Their names are blotted out,
Of the list of salient knowledge beneficiaries,
Yet they care not.

They live with rage, because they are sage,
But the most important knowledge they lose to pride,
To us the youths, it's unveiled to,
But their pride kept them far from us.

To the kids and the humble adults,
Were given the key to mind-blowing treasures,
Maybe the so called sage will repent,
But till then, we control the world.

Power of a simple conversation

"Today is going to be a bad day", I concluded after searching tirelessly an ATM card I was given to use to check the account balance of the carrier account. Breathing like someone who chased a rabbit and end up losing it, I was frustrated as I could decipher the possibility of losing it.

Well, losing it will not keep me at the ATM stand, I have to return home, at least to inform the sender that the message was interrupted on my way to delivery.

Of course, I don't expect him to be happy, and my expectations was played out. "What to do?", was the question being asked repeatedly. Then a decision came to trace back my path to the place I board a vehicle that transport me down to the ATM gallery, since I was sure I checked the bank's environment, and luckily I found the mini bus that took me there, and I searched to no avail.

Tracing my steps back, like am rewinding and replaying the moment I was going to bank, we reached a place with a group of people at work. Despite being carried away my frustration, I knew it didn't get lost there, but my brother who followed me took the pain to ask "please, I don't know if you help us find an ATM card along this path", I was ahead since I knew no good thing can come out of such Nazareth, but to my surprise, in a milliseconds, the ATM card was handled over to him that it was found when I passed.

What made me to to into the matter again is, the guys saw me when I was going back home -because I intentionally took the route to look again before getting home, but they didn't say a word than an ATM has dropped from me -or maybe they don't know it was for me.

But had it been, I went to look for it again, I wouldn't have care to ask, and this made me to learn the power of simple conversation, there are some connections that can make use great, or that can get us our desires and they can only be initiated by a simple conversation like "Hi", "Hello" and such like that.

Who knows when you will come across a 'big fish'. Of a truth, am guilty of this, because am always reserved and reluctant to initiate a conversation. And sincerely, what happened taught me a lesson.

Learn to initiate a simple and worthy conversation which yields a lasting relationship. Who knows from who you will blessed.

On Monday morning after I finished washing my father's car, I need to drop few bucket of water inside the house and my route is beside the washed car.

The first time, I splattered sand on the car with my wet feet because am rushing to attend to other things in the house. I quickly used water to clean it and I continue.

Same as the second time, I then became furious with myself for splattering sand on the car, it's like ruining my achievement, so I washed it again.

The problem is splattering sand on the car, the solution is washing the affected area with water again, but the cause is my steps caused from the fact that am rushing.

In my case, the real solution is to ease off myself and control my steppings not cleaning the mess everytime, but I didn't take notice of that but rather I was solving the problem which get me frustrated.

Most times, we focused on the problem and we care less about the cause. Some problems are unremitting because the cause still exists and solving the same problem everytime can be frustrating in most cases.

Some problem are incessant?, Seek out the cause and thrash it out, that will be the wise way of solving the problem to avoid frustration.

In a burning forest,
The lion run, living behind his cubs,
So as the tiger,
This is who I am, selfish and inconsiderate,
Living for I, me, and myself alone.

Called to live for him,
Giving all to live for him alone,
But I see no reason whatsoever,
As though am blessed to live for myself.

That’s my old way of living anyway,
Now I found a value attached to pursue,
Like a merchant who found a pearl,
And sold everything to acquire it,
So am going to give it all to lay hold it.

One thing controls my life,
And that’s the “cause of Christ”,
For this I will live and die,
And will give it all up here on earth,

Days after days, this became my longings,
To give my utmost for his highest,
And that in all my doings,
To acknowledge the highest.

My joy is immeasurable in this,
That am living just for the cause of Christ,
For my living is for Christ,
Just as dying is gain immeasurable.

P.S.: Have you find the value attached to Christ that worth living for? Its better you do and be among the few that find it.

We learnt in chemistry of ideal gas and real gas. Ideal gas is an idealization. The ideas are invented to make solving problems easier. Ideal gas doesn't exist, they are just imagination. Some real gases behave like ideal gas, but they aren't.

That's how we are as well. We have preconceived notions on what we'd like situations to be. But maybe ignorance or high expectations makes us feel bad when we don't get what we want.

"At least by 21-22 years of age, I should have graduated from the university" is the thought that we all harboured in an ideal world that exists in our subconscious mind, but here in the real world, only to see you'd go on 8 months strike after each semester.

You expect to live a life of luxury in the future no matter how. But here the law is "No pain, No gain". That's how it is.

We all have the image of what we want, but here in the real world, nothing of such. But I said up there that "Some real gases behave like ideal gas, but they aren't". Yes but under conditions. Does that work for us as well?

All of us have what we wanted, though none seems to be in existence currently. But we have this world as a raw material to make an ideal world. We have the greatest task to handle in making our dream come true.

You want good, kind and compassionate men to fill the earth, are you one already?, You have an idea to make the world better, pursue it with all diligence. Though we don't live in an ideal world, but we can shape this one.

Remember an ideal world doesn't exist. But we can make this real world into an ideal world.

We are on the mission to make this world an ideal world.

Darkness loom,
Not even an iota of hope,
Though I'm not aware,
Because am engulfed by my wickedness.

Do I need anything like mercy?
I never thought of such,
But yet he lingered and kept whispering,
"Son, my mercy is available"

Like a young girl whose heart was broken,
He was sad because I kept on refusing him,
But yet he kept on saying,
"Dear son, my mercy is available"

Even though, I made him sad over and over again,
Yet am under his surveillance,
How could I repay your kindness?
Because sacrifice, you do not require.

To the love of my life, I write,
I always will thank you for loving me,
And that you didn't give up on me,
Accept my gratitude.

To the love of my life
To you I gave my heart,
It doesn’t matter where we started,
Or even how we started,
Because back then am worthless,
Even though you loved me before I knew you,
But yet you took me up,
And promised me a greater future,
Hmmm, to the one that love me,
And the one I love,
All I want to say is THANK YOU

**********************************************

To the love of my life 2

Right from the bottom of my heart,
I wrote this great piece,
Just to express my gratitude.
I take a close look at myself,
How useless and unworthy am I,
Not worthy of entering the palace,
Not to talk of sitting at your right hand.
But yet you said
"Am not done with this boy"
I need to bring him close,
To enjoy the luxury of my father's kingdom.
Things I won't ever dream of,
Now become things am enjoying in real life.
You asked me for nothing,
Only if I choose to believe and to follow,
Only if I won't at the end betray you,
You said you paid all the price of entering your father's palace.
Wow, I enjoyed so great a mercy,
To the love of my life
All I want to say is THANK YOU

P.S. : God's mercy is still calling us, we need nothing that to believe and to follow him. Just acknowledge his sacrifice over your life and start a journey of being a disciple with HIM.
