Look through my archive,
In my own brain- my hard drive,
I've been alive,
Even though haven't yet arrive,
But yet I didn't crash dive.

I'm well sure enemies connive,
But God never keep their dreams alive.

I will thrive,
Just like your wishes descrived
I will survive,
Even though I find myself in a beehive.
And my prayers is your value won't nosedive,
And for good things you won't be deprived.

For the love I appreciate,
I pray it will never depreciate.
Goodness and mercy will be your associates,
Riches and goodies will always be at your gate.
For this is God's mandate.

Thank you everyone for the love you showed to me. For the call, the messages, the Facebook posts, the wishes on my timeline, the WhatsApp statuses. I really appreciate it. I'm humbled by your testimonies and much reason I need to get better.

I'm not writing this because it's normal to say thank you -maybe that's why it's coming late. But when I reflected, I felt loved and I need to say thank you to everyone.

I'm well sure next year will be greater as you've challenged me.

Let's get better together,
See you at the top.

Let’s do a visitation,
To yourself, you caged in a cage,
Let’s get some refreshment,
To feed your inner man who starved for ages.

Days are counting, time is going,
Gray hairs are rushing
To manifest and weakened you,
Yet your real self was bolted.
Locked in the cage you built with your own hands.

You’ve got a definition,
Can I ask what?
Out of frustration you threw the key,
That unlocks desires along with unwanted responsibilities,
Away in an abyss that can't be reach,
Because you don’t want to reach.

Back in the days when you boil,
When you vow to rise and shine,
And be a powerful solvent that extracts dreams,
From ‘guys’ who run and shout for help,
But now they are the one who volunteered to help,
And help you get back on the track.

What has become of you, my dear?
You used to set the pace while others follow,
But now you are on the sycamore tree watching,
Applauding men who make waves in their generation,
On the sideline you are, saying,
‘I used to be a contestant in that race’

Let’s go on a visitation please,
And visit you locked in the prison,
Which you built with your own hands,
Let’s write an appeal dear,
To yourself who judged yourself
And sentenced yourself to life imprisonment.

You can always be better,
Pardon yourself and move on,
Greater heights lie ahead to stand and shine,
And a brighter future to explore.

Lost in limbo
Searching for peace,
On the lookout for happiness,
Who knows it's right here?
Tied to the tip of my belt,
Ring its alarm,
Drawing attention,
But I know not
For I'm engrossed with the unfulfilling search.

Who knows it's within?
Who knows no one sells happiness,
And peace is not what they hawk?
Would have save the stress of searching
Can concentrate on building a bridge,
That leads to within,
Where I get peace and happiness.

There were days I fell,
I cried and wept,
And lay helpless,
Seeking help,
But found none
Instead, shame and mockery is what I found,
They stuck me like plagues,
And I couldn't help myself.

But behold I rose,
Beating expectations to pulp,
Treading on days of 'no-motivation'
Maximizing the strength I found,
And making my way to limelight.

"With a standing ovation,
Welcome Òtáìbáyòmí"
That was the compensating moment,
A reward for shame and mockery,
And one for not giving up.

Never give up,
Does it seem long?
Tarry please,
The future is here,
And before you know it,
You are already where you desire.

How I sneered when they say it's impossible,
and a whisper from my soul came in agreement,
even though my body and soul were subjected,
to excellence and the pursuit of greatness.

If you say the fire is burning on a river,
I must see the ashes.
neglecting the possibility of being superstitious,
I chose to believe without seeing the ashes.

Here comes the rising sun from the west,
defying every law that held its wonderful exhibition
smooching the sky, who is utterly flabbergasted and stupefied.

We are the rising sun from the west,
making the impossible possible,
and our accolades filled with with stunning achievement,
that made the crowns call upon us for wisdom exhibition.

Voice of the street, talk of the town,
news headlines and article topics.
the world couldn't deny our existence,
even if we spent a day on the terrestial ball.

With eyes closed and heart opened,
We silently say our wishes,
Momentarily, more desires flow in,
Like a stream, it glides the heart of our hearts.

On birth we set out,
Like a hiker at the foot of a mountain,
We wished we magically find our place at the top,
But to get there, climbing is inevitable.

They told us it's a race,
A quest to search the unsearchable,
In the silent wood afar,
Isn't it simple as ABC?

Even if you have nothing to seek,
You must go through the dreadful forest,
With your safety tied to your hands,
Like a bracelet that beautifies you.

Inevitable journey in the woods
Seeking what defines our existence,
What earn us an honour than a minute silence,
And a name than "Late Mr. So So So.

Why will you say that?, Tade asked. Do you know that that's a lie?

That's not a lie, it's packaging, Dayo replied sharply with a stern look, this won't make them to think lowly of me like a dog's drops.

This conversation was after Dayo lied to a brother of his father having a company which he only own in his dream, in the presence of his childhood friend Tade who happens to also be her roommate. Situations like this have always been Dayo's favourite in handling, as her philosophy is "As you paint yourself, so they'll appreciate you".

A very interesting quote I remember is "A liar should have a good memory", but the truth is, a day will come the trusted strength will fail.

Though Dayo is a Christian who said she believes in Christ as her saviour (but not as her lord I presume), yet she lives a life filled with hypocrisy. Even when starving, she will never forgo her fake identity.

She didn't believe in "unlike charges attracts" as physics teaches but she loves the saying "birds of the same feather flock together". Her reason for doing this is to through her assumed identity get some people better off than her original self to bring her up.

Little did she know that people who intend to help her were discouraged as they didn't meet the standards she set.

On one fateful day, one of her neighbours approached her and said "Aunty Dayo, I was given some amount of money and some stuffs to share with some students, though some suggested your name but I said "how ridiculous", because you are more than that".

She stylishly asked, "have you now distributed it?"
Yes, the neighbour replied, I know it's nothing to you.

This came at a time she is having issues in collecting her allowance from her parents, as they are complaining things are not to good.

She said "no problem" with an unsatisfied heart, thinking in her heart "How I wish I will be sincere with these people".

It was a dark silent night, on a Tuesday, I was coming from a friend's house. The remembrance of our gist made me smile to myself -though I always smile on every little chance I had to. Miles away from my friend's house and few distance to mine: I noticed a young man approaching me, his looks cautioned me and made me lost the aura that made me smile, I tried all I could to avoid him, but the more I do, the more vulnerable I seem.

Who could he be?, he was a bit rough with a questionable haircut -I think they call it 'afro', he wore a sleeveless top and a rag-like jean short -the one they termed 'crazy jean', with a canvas.

Right at that moment, fear was sent down my spine and it occupied me that I couldn't think of anything to do as rumors of bad deeds that happened on the path flash to my memories. The path I'm on was surrounded by bushes though with a lot of uncompleted buildings and the next  occupied neighborhood is out of sight.

I tried all I could to send fear out of my body and it seems I overcame, but on reaching him, he grabbed my hands and I managed to slip out of his hands and I take to my heels, but in few seconds he caught on and grabbed me, covered my mouth with one hand and held me with the other. I don't know what he is up to, if he's going to rob me, I had only my phone on me and I forgot my purse at home -that's what got me trekking, I could have board a bike.

Before I knew it, he head towards an uncompleted building though roofed but with no door, I struggled to shout but I couldn't make a sound as his palm covered my mouth and sealed my lips, when he seems relaxed and thought he has won over me, I managed to bite him and escape, but was stopped with his stretched hand, he slapped me immediately that I landed on the floor with my face down, before I could look up, he already unzip the rag he called short and jumped on me, I tried getting off and couldn't run beyond his reach. I was forced against my will to lie down and I gave up as I felt powerless and behold I was raped and was deflowered. I felt the pain in my bones plus the one I got from my hymen breaking.

My heart was choked and I felt that minute, my life was disarrayed, after few minutes, he left me helplessly on the ground and dashed away. I wept like that's going to be the last time I will cry, though the deed was done, but I felt the huge blow and an empty pit where something big and irreplaceable was taken. I found my way home and narrated the horrible experience to my sister who I was living with, she advised I go to the hospital of which I did the following day.

But ever since I wasn't the same again, I felt I'm irrelevant. What can I do please?, I need comfort and advice on how to get over my sense of irrelevancy.

Overtime, I laughed when I go over my chats with some people because a lot of them contains unfulfilled promises.

Memories of how I smiled on hearing the promises flash and they made me repeat the smile. Maybe list of unfulfilled promises is what made to trust no one or I'm like that from onset. I only trust some set of people headed by God who if they failed or delayed promises, I'll still trust their words for me.

I remember then when am still naive (so to say), every single promises excites me, they made me a rubber ball which bounces and rebounds on every single stroke.

A very perfect example is when I was in the third year of my junior secondary education (JSS3), my dad promised a blackberry phone -of course you know what it means to own a blackberry then now. On every single call, I answered twice, I became the boxer of animal farm that chose to work tirelessly -though I'll still work with nothing attached, but the promises is a motivation to do extraordinarily, especially when it's attached to my academics performance.

Promising is good only when they are realistic and was fulfilled -or the reasons will be visible genuine and reasonable if at all it will fail. Because as much as it adds to our credit, that much it's discredit us if we failed.

Well, at the long run, I was unable to own the promised blackberry, and this made me not-too-excited when I received any promises especially on getting a phone then. Though I later got one when I was in SSS 3 -you want to know the type, lol, it's NokiaC1-01 (at least I can ranked up with the bosses then).
Don't promise I repeat
Don't promise just to say something, don't promise to make someone happy especially the ones who holds your words with respect, if you have too much succeeding failures, your words lose value and virtue, even if you are not promising them.

Isn't it funny?, How they promised us a government of the people, by the people and for the people. How they promised us a country ruled  by the sages' opinion for our benefits -for a comfortable living.

And what saddens is, those who initiated our freedom from colonialism didn't dream of what's happening currently. I don't know if truly they watch from heaven as legend has it, but if they do, I wonder how they will be feeling.

Major -in the book "Animal Farm" stirs rebellion amidst the animals against their owner, Jones which was successful shortly after his death.

I wonder how he would feel when watching how Napoleon turned the desired democracy into tyranny thereby oppressing his fellow comrades.

But if I was asked who's at fault, I will say it's the citizens of the animal farm. I'm cruel? Obviously, I'm not. Just learn out my reason for saying so.

The citizens of the animal farm were at fault because they chose to leave under the shelter of mediocrity. They believed the pigs are better and were the only one solely blessed with knowledge and they can't be better.

Look at it like this, if they strive to learn and become the author of education, they would have escaped the tyrannic agenda of the pigs -napoleon especially which was unknown to them from the beginning of the rebellion, or maybe he didn't had such agenda before, but was conceived when he see their display of mediocrity. Coupled with the expulsion of Snowball who loved something good for the citizens -judging from his commitment to the commencement of the windmill.

Despite boxer's commitment, I'd blame him for being lazy to speculate and examine Napoleon but came up with the philosophy "Napoleon is always right". And the smart guy took advantage of it to boost his morale in despotism.

Don't settle for the less, that's my advice to you, never say it's too hard for you. All things are possible and you can do all things. Overcome your inferiority complex asap, else you will pay homage to those you rated higher in due time.

Wind starts blowing,
Rain starts falling,
Overcoming the drought
That command life out of us.

Days of waiting,
Stylishly crept away,
Light sprung up,
Illuminating our gloomy soul.

Men are waiting,
Eagerly watching
Speculations says it's over,
But we saw an hand of hope.

Like the history of Israel,
"I saw a cloud of rain like hand" he said
After 3½ years of drought,
Yes! It's happening again, hope is rising

Hope is rising,
Men are happy,
Weeping may tarries till night,
Surely joy comes in the morning.

My dear citadel of learning,
Being stuck down by a thunder of inactivity,
With no man to trod upon its land,
Is feeling men are coming around.

Hope is rising,
I'm glad, it's rising.
Thank God, we aren't stuck forever,
Thank God, a glimpse of hope is rising.

Recently, I dropped a question on my wall and I do appreciate the answers I got as comments.

And now I will write on my thoughts on the question. This question is this "what do you do when your expectations are cut short?"

Overtime, we have list of expectations unfulfilled, we have desires unaccomplished and dreams that seems as ordinary nightmare. Though before these things become reality, they will go through a lot of process that kept us waiting and now the question is what do we do when the process failed along the line?

The simple truth according to my thoughts is that keep trying, yes!, Keep trying. But one thing is - according to how I replied a comment on the post, are we not flogging the dead horse?, Are we not painting an unrealistic image?

A lot of process failed, and yet we keep trying, but surprisingly, it all ends in failure, wasted effort and the pains will be much more than failing to start pursuing in the first place.

And now this is my advice, when expectations are cut short, keep trying but be sure you are not chasing the wind.

Believe and keep trying.

My review on No excuses!

I have been hearing about self discipline, but upon reading this book I agreed I don't know the power self discipline holds and how greatly it can transform ones life even in some area you don't think of.

If someone should tell me that self discipline is related to my happiness and peace of mind, I will be wandering in darkness on how such could be. But this book open my eyes to much I can enjoy from being disciplined in these areas of life.

The possibility of learning lessons in advance is in this book, as I learnt of how self discipline could help you in marriage and childrearing (of course, I don't need that now, but the lesson is learnt in advance), and the probability of returning to the book is approximately unity.

Only if someone wants to punish me will the person say what's my favourite chapter of the book, because I found every chapter interesting and educative.

The book cover twenty one (21) power of self discipline (21 ways to achieve lasting happiness and success, as the cover page put it), including business and even upto physical fitness.

Mere reading "about the author", you will know you have "No excuse" of being mediocre, because I found a lot of motivation from his experience and his application of self discipline both in business and in family.

If am asked for rating, I will give it 5-star and recommend it for others.

The grey hairs of the village,
They regard themselves as sage.
With no shoulder pads,
Yet their shoulders is always high.

The 'profs' when it comes to knowledge,
Intoxicated by their acquired wisdom,
Always feeling high and over,
With the thoughts of being uncorrectable.

The youths and kids they trod upon,
"What did they know?" is always their song.
Always on the lookout for disciples to teach,
And not master to learn from.

Unluckily, it's not for them,
Their names are blotted out,
Of the list of salient knowledge beneficiaries,
Yet they care not.

They live with rage, because they are sage,
But the most important knowledge they lose to pride,
To us the youths, it's unveiled to,
But their pride kept them far from us.

To the kids and the humble adults,
Were given the key to mind-blowing treasures,
Maybe the so called sage will repent,
But till then, we control the world.

Power of a simple conversation

"Today is going to be a bad day", I concluded after searching tirelessly an ATM card I was given to use to check the account balance of the carrier account. Breathing like someone who chased a rabbit and end up losing it, I was frustrated as I could decipher the possibility of losing it.

Well, losing it will not keep me at the ATM stand, I have to return home, at least to inform the sender that the message was interrupted on my way to delivery.

Of course, I don't expect him to be happy, and my expectations was played out. "What to do?", was the question being asked repeatedly. Then a decision came to trace back my path to the place I board a vehicle that transport me down to the ATM gallery, since I was sure I checked the bank's environment, and luckily I found the mini bus that took me there, and I searched to no avail.

Tracing my steps back, like am rewinding and replaying the moment I was going to bank, we reached a place with a group of people at work. Despite being carried away my frustration, I knew it didn't get lost there, but my brother who followed me took the pain to ask "please, I don't know if you help us find an ATM card along this path", I was ahead since I knew no good thing can come out of such Nazareth, but to my surprise, in a milliseconds, the ATM card was handled over to him that it was found when I passed.

What made me to to into the matter again is, the guys saw me when I was going back home -because I intentionally took the route to look again before getting home, but they didn't say a word than an ATM has dropped from me -or maybe they don't know it was for me.

But had it been, I went to look for it again, I wouldn't have care to ask, and this made me to learn the power of simple conversation, there are some connections that can make use great, or that can get us our desires and they can only be initiated by a simple conversation like "Hi", "Hello" and such like that.

Who knows when you will come across a 'big fish'. Of a truth, am guilty of this, because am always reserved and reluctant to initiate a conversation. And sincerely, what happened taught me a lesson.

Learn to initiate a simple and worthy conversation which yields a lasting relationship. Who knows from who you will blessed.

On Monday morning after I finished washing my father's car, I need to drop few bucket of water inside the house and my route is beside the washed car.

The first time, I splattered sand on the car with my wet feet because am rushing to attend to other things in the house. I quickly used water to clean it and I continue.

Same as the second time, I then became furious with myself for splattering sand on the car, it's like ruining my achievement, so I washed it again.

The problem is splattering sand on the car, the solution is washing the affected area with water again, but the cause is my steps caused from the fact that am rushing.

In my case, the real solution is to ease off myself and control my steppings not cleaning the mess everytime, but I didn't take notice of that but rather I was solving the problem which get me frustrated.

Most times, we focused on the problem and we care less about the cause. Some problems are unremitting because the cause still exists and solving the same problem everytime can be frustrating in most cases.

Some problem are incessant?, Seek out the cause and thrash it out, that will be the wise way of solving the problem to avoid frustration.

In a burning forest,
The lion run, living behind his cubs,
So as the tiger,
This is who I am, selfish and inconsiderate,
Living for I, me, and myself alone.

Called to live for him,
Giving all to live for him alone,
But I see no reason whatsoever,
As though am blessed to live for myself.

That’s my old way of living anyway,
Now I found a value attached to pursue,
Like a merchant who found a pearl,
And sold everything to acquire it,
So am going to give it all to lay hold it.

One thing controls my life,
And that’s the “cause of Christ”,
For this I will live and die,
And will give it all up here on earth,

Days after days, this became my longings,
To give my utmost for his highest,
And that in all my doings,
To acknowledge the highest.

My joy is immeasurable in this,
That am living just for the cause of Christ,
For my living is for Christ,
Just as dying is gain immeasurable.

P.S.: Have you find the value attached to Christ that worth living for? Its better you do and be among the few that find it.

We learnt in chemistry of ideal gas and real gas. Ideal gas is an idealization. The ideas are invented to make solving problems easier. Ideal gas doesn't exist, they are just imagination. Some real gases behave like ideal gas, but they aren't.

That's how we are as well. We have preconceived notions on what we'd like situations to be. But maybe ignorance or high expectations makes us feel bad when we don't get what we want.

"At least by 21-22 years of age, I should have graduated from the university" is the thought that we all harboured in an ideal world that exists in our subconscious mind, but here in the real world, only to see you'd go on 8 months strike after each semester.

You expect to live a life of luxury in the future no matter how. But here the law is "No pain, No gain". That's how it is.

We all have the image of what we want, but here in the real world, nothing of such. But I said up there that "Some real gases behave like ideal gas, but they aren't". Yes but under conditions. Does that work for us as well?

All of us have what we wanted, though none seems to be in existence currently. But we have this world as a raw material to make an ideal world. We have the greatest task to handle in making our dream come true.

You want good, kind and compassionate men to fill the earth, are you one already?, You have an idea to make the world better, pursue it with all diligence. Though we don't live in an ideal world, but we can shape this one.

Remember an ideal world doesn't exist. But we can make this real world into an ideal world.

We are on the mission to make this world an ideal world.

Darkness loom,
Not even an iota of hope,
Though I'm not aware,
Because am engulfed by my wickedness.

Do I need anything like mercy?
I never thought of such,
But yet he lingered and kept whispering,
"Son, my mercy is available"

Like a young girl whose heart was broken,
He was sad because I kept on refusing him,
But yet he kept on saying,
"Dear son, my mercy is available"

Even though, I made him sad over and over again,
Yet am under his surveillance,
How could I repay your kindness?
Because sacrifice, you do not require.

To the love of my life, I write,
I always will thank you for loving me,
And that you didn't give up on me,
Accept my gratitude.

To the love of my life
To you I gave my heart,
It doesn’t matter where we started,
Or even how we started,
Because back then am worthless,
Even though you loved me before I knew you,
But yet you took me up,
And promised me a greater future,
Hmmm, to the one that love me,
And the one I love,
All I want to say is THANK YOU

**********************************************

To the love of my life 2

Right from the bottom of my heart,
I wrote this great piece,
Just to express my gratitude.
I take a close look at myself,
How useless and unworthy am I,
Not worthy of entering the palace,
Not to talk of sitting at your right hand.
But yet you said
"Am not done with this boy"
I need to bring him close,
To enjoy the luxury of my father's kingdom.
Things I won't ever dream of,
Now become things am enjoying in real life.
You asked me for nothing,
Only if I choose to believe and to follow,
Only if I won't at the end betray you,
You said you paid all the price of entering your father's palace.
Wow, I enjoyed so great a mercy,
To the love of my life
All I want to say is THANK YOU

P.S. : God's mercy is still calling us, we need nothing that to believe and to follow him. Just acknowledge his sacrifice over your life and start a journey of being a disciple with HIM.

help-island.jpg.image.784.410When things wander away,
And men are cast away,
The most painful thing is "they know the way",
They just chose to be led astray.
It is to whom much is given, much will be expected,
Sometimes, it goes beyond what we expected,
But yet, we can't receive beyond what we expected,
Because a man is always what he expected.
We have to work on what we dream of,
So we don't land where we don't dream of,
As for me, not being cast away is what i dream of,
But you, what do you dream of?

I was thinking on how to define Love,
Then I remembered someone said "Love is like a flower",
That can probably wither anytime,
But I commented "that's the love of Men".
Because there is one love shown to me,
Unfailing love stronger that mountain, deeper than ocean,
The love is like rock standing since the inception of earth,
And will stand till the end of ages,
Even the lover is THE ROCK OF AGES.
The love of him that sacrifice his life for us,
Who among men can give up his life because of Love?
But he gave it up as ransom for all.
The love is peace for the broken,
Hope for the hopeless, rest for the weary.
THE LOVE OF CHRIST.
P.S. if you are in need of an everlasting love, I recommend JESUS CHRIST. Try him and see what he is made of

Good day, how was the last blog post?, Please comment are always welcome, you can always comment on the blog or inbox me directly.
Let's move on today about Stephen: A man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit and his impacts.
Another emphasis was in verse 8 of Acts 6.
stephen-a-man-full-of-gods-grace-and-power
NIV:Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.
Stephen on account of the fullness of God's grace and power in him, did great wonders and miraculous signs. Not with pride, how do we showcase God's grace and power in our own lives? Or we tend to live a normal Christian life without grace and power?
On account of his enablement to perform signs, opposition arose but the Bible said
NIV:But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.
Stephen has not been speaking of himself neither has he been doing things on his own, this made men not to stand against him. But I will like to ask you words and the wisdom you claim to have is of who? God or self?
These men are desperate to seize him, so they are left with no choice than to produce false witness just because the words of Stephen is of a true God.
Do we remember Moses and the veil, when he went upto the mountains to meet God and came down with a shining face that no man's eyes could behold?, Similar thing happened to Stephen in front of the Sanhedrin. The Bible said
NIV:All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
This was also as a result of God's grace, power and fullness of the Holy Spirit, I suppose. The challenge remains, how much of this grace and power do we possess?

I suppose this will propel us to pray and cry more for God's grace and power on our lives, and even more of the holy Spirit.
Share to others as well.

Let's quickly examine the biblical biography of Stephen from the Acts of the Apostles chapter 6 and 7.
A man full of faith and of the holy Spirit
When it was time for his work to began, there was a complaint in the church (an unsatisfying situation).
Acts 6:1 - In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.

And this revealed someone called Stephen and his potentials. Here are some lessons and challenges
* Sometimes, it's where there is hard time that God is expecting us to show forth the power he embedded in us
* Challenges most times bring out the best in us and thereby showcase us to the world, remember Joseph (if he wasn't sold as a slave he won't become a prime minister in Egypt).

* Are we running from challenges? That's not the best option, face it.
* You won't know you have the strength to handle a situation until such situation come around and when it comes around, you won't still discover the strength untill you decide to face and handle the situation.
Now about the introduction of this man called Stephen in Acts 6:5
NIV:This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.

They chose Stephen "A MAN FULL OF FAITH AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT". This doesn't mean others don't have that qualifications according to Acts 6:3
NIV:Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them
But special emphasis is laid on Stephen.
The Bible said upon the appointment of these men, the word of God spread and the number of disciples increased rapidly. But you know if they haven't managed the situation well, if they haven't perform upto expectations, the unsatisfying situation in the beginning would resurfaced. But with the help of the holy Spirit and God's wisdom. They managed the situation well.
Are we also like them? Are we full of the holy Spirit and God's wisdom? Let's pray that God fill us with his wisdom to manage those unsatisfying situation in our lives and around us.
We shall return later to examine more, till then remain blessed

Compilations of lessons from John 20
Verse 1-2: EARLY on the first day of the week...
This shows the level of commitment of Mary Magdalene and we must emulate this. Yoruba will say "owuro lojo" meaning "morning is precious". So we must seek God early in our lives.
* After she learnt this, she told the disciples about the lose of Jesus body. A common adage will say "problem shared is half solved". Am More so, we must be mindful of those we will share our burden with. She went to the disciples, who have been with Christ.
Verse 3-9:
We know Mr. Simon Peter to be a very zealous man. He came late to the tomb yet was the first to enter. There are some Biblical reference that make me believe he is zealous. Situations like Matthew 14:22-33, when he out of all the disciples request from Jesus to walk on water.
Apostle Paul said For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Romans 10:2 (NIV)
We mustn't be like them in the way we pursue knowledge.
Verse 10-18
This one reiterate Mary's commitment and outstanding love for Christ and that make her to be the first follower of Christ to see Jesus after His death.
Verse 21-23
When He send them, he gave them what they need, the Bible said "He breathed on them and said "receive the holy spirit".
1 Thessalonians 5:24 encouraged that "The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it." He sent you yet he is will give you what you need to be successful. Rely solely on him and he will carry you through the work he committed to your hands.
Verse 29
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”. The blessings is for us because we don't physically witness the resurrection. We walk by faith and not by sight. And you know what we are blessed for walking by faith and believing Christ was raised from dead.

John 15:15
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead I call you friends.....
How much of kingdom business did we know?
Did we even seek to know?
It's one of the reason we are redeemed.
To legislate on behalf of the heavens.
But how will you go about that when you know nothing about the business.
It's high time we left all frivolities, and focus on knowing more about the kingdom, the lifestyle and all.
It's always well with us

You are saved right? Yes you are, but let's examine a portion of the scriptures together.
John 13:10 - NIV:Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.”
John 13:10

The Bible says "those who have had a bath". The disciples which Jesus is addressing here have been with him pretty long, they were part of his ministry and more so they were the one Jesus intended to leave the gospel with. So I see them as the ones that have had their bath. Though the Bible says not everyone of them is clean ( he meant Judas Iscariot).

There is this popular Christian hymn "Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power". The first line of the chorus reads "Are you washed in the blood of the lamb." And to be washed in the blood of the lamb you have to "acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, rely on the truth) that God raised Him (Jesus) from dead. Romans 10:9 Amplified version. (Emphasis mine). Literally, those Jesus was talking about are those that have been saved.

In our reference verse (John 13:10), Jesus went further to say "these people are the one that need to wash their feet." Let's first think of that like this. "It's not possible for you not to bathbut just washed your feet and say you are clean." I have seen unbelievers who don't steal, they don't covet others' property. In short, they kept Exodus 20 commandments but yet they don't believe in Christ. I term them as moralist, they kept moral laws. So they need to bath first to be clean.

But Jesus said those that have had their bath need to wash their feet. I see this as a time to time check up of oneself. Medical doctors will recommend a time-to-time medical checkup to run all test just to ensure that you are healthy and so Jesus as the great physician is also recommending that you wash your feet and make sure they are clean just like apostle Paul told the church in Corinth in his second letter that "AMP:Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?"
Wash your feet time to time

Remember, those that have been saved need to wash their feet time to time. I pray it is well with our soul.
